The Student Ambassador Program is a new ACLS initiative that engages adult learners in work assignments, internships, trainings, and other employment opportunities in education. The goals of the program are to elevate student voice, increase the visibility of adult education, build the capacity of current and former students, and meaningfully engage students in the development of ACLS policies and practices.
Student Ambassadors are current and former adult education students who are interested in advocacy and sharing their experiences. Student Ambassadors represent a wide range of ages, races, nationalities, primary languages, and experiences.
Student Ambassadors engage in a variety of activities. Examples include:
Supporting the planning and implementation of large-scale adult education meetings and conferences.
Providing customer service to current and prospective adult learners, answering questions and connecting them to resources.
Participating in focus groups and advisory councils to give feedback on adult education policies, practices and materials.
Engaging in training about leadership, public speaking, and professional skills.
Job Requests: We are constantly seeking enriching work opportunities for our Student Ambassadors. If you would like to work with one or more Student Ambassadors on a short-term job assignment, task, or project, please complete this form.
