(AOTA) is the nationally recognized professional association of approximately 35,000 occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, and students of occupational therapy.
MAOT is a non-profit volunteer organization that provides a professional community for members.MAOT represents the profession to the public, engages in activities to advocate for the profession of occupational therapy, and provides continuing education opportunities for members. The MAOT publication, Guidelines for Provision of Occupational Therapy in Massachusetts Public Schools explains the role of the occupational therapy practitioner as a related service provider in the public school setting with considerations for occupational therapy practitioners, administrators, school personnel, and families.
