In this competency-based course developed by a WIDA Certified Trainer, participants will learn and apply research-based strategies for uncovering ELLs' "funds of knowledge" for culturally responsive schooling. Participants will receive WIDA Framework tools and content-specific texts and resources in this interactive and engaging course. Participants will generate content-specific fieldwork and a personalized "action cycle" implementation plan for new learning to immediately impact teaching practice and ELL learning outcomes. The instructor can customize the course format for district/school needs and deliver the course at the district site.
