Brief Description of Services
I offer a specialized series of four 90-minute private pottery lessons, tailored for various teaching professionals including teachers, art teachers, counselors, administrators, and paraprofessionals. These sessions, conducted on the pottery wheel, provide a unique opportunity for participants to experience the challenges and rewards of pottery firsthand. Mastering the pottery wheel, akin to learning to swim, demands humility and patience. Participants find parallels between their own learning journey and the challenges they guide their students through daily. For educators, these sessions serve as professional development, enhancing their teaching methodologies. We delve into understanding individual learning styles, enabling them to better translate new knowledge to their students. The program encourages deep self-assessment and fosters a supportive environment where participants discuss their teaching practices. Art educators who join me benefit from tailored discussions addressing studio management, focusing on efficiency, and ensuring safety protocols. Join me in the studio for an enriching experience that not only hones pottery skills but also enhances teaching techniques, fostering a community of educators dedicated to continuous growth and learning.
