The Office of Educator License no longer sends out hard copies of approved/renewed licenses. You can view an unofficial copy of your license by logging into your ELAR account. Once logged in, select the Check license status and history, link on the Welcome to ELAR homepage. Scroll to the bottom of the Inquiry - Activity Summary page, and click on the License Information View/Print button. All Massachusetts public schools also have direct access to the ELAR portal and can verify employee licensure status online.
If you would like to obtain a hard copy of your license(s), you may request a copy or duplicate via ELAR for a $25 fee. On the Welcome to ELAR homepage, select Apply-Hard Copy Certificate Request, and follow the prompts. When requesting, please also make sure that the contact information in your ELAR profile is up to date.
For additional information and/or guides on how to request a hard copy of your license; please visit our Academic PreK-12 Forms, Guidelines, and Licensure Regulations page. Click on the Request for Licensure Updates/Hard Copy of License link at the top of the page, or scroll down to the topic heading.
