FY2020: Massachusetts Dissemination Program: Facilitating School-to-School Learning

Purpose:

The purpose of the targeted Massachusetts Dissemination Program is to provide funds for schools who have previously received the grant in FY18 and FY19 in order to complete their approved projects. Over the past two years this grant has supported the dissemination of effective practices and programs that have been developed, tested, and proven successful in Massachusetts' charter schools. The primary objective of the grant is to support quality activities that will improve student performance. These grants are a subgrant pursuant to the United States Education Department's Charter School Program grant awarded to Massachusetts in 2016.

Eligibility:

Only current CSP Dissemination grant recipients may apply for the balance of their original grant award to complete their approved projects.

Funding:

At the request of three charter schools, between $10,000 and $32,000 has been set aside to complete their applicable projects.

Funding is contingent upon availability. All dollar amounts listed are estimated/approximate and are subject to change. If more funding is to become available it will be distributed under the same guideline as listed in the initial RFP document.

Fund Use:

Dissemination funds are made available to assist charter schools in disseminating their successful practices to other public schools. Grant funds may not be used for food. Grant funds may not supplant the regular operating budget of the charter school and may not be used for marketing or recruitment activities designed to promote the charter school or its programs to parents or the community.

Submission Instructions:

Submit all required grant materials through EdGrants

In EdGrants, districts are required to create and name the project. Please use the following naming convention for your "Applicant Project Name" in EdGrants:

FY20 537 CSP Grant School Name

All required forms should be uploaded / attached in the Attachments List formlet of the Application Submission. This includes a signed / scanned PDF of Part I / Coversheet with School Leaders signature. For Guidance Documents regarding EdGrants, visit EdGrants: User Guides and Information.

Please note: It is up to the school to determine who they want to add as EdGrants Front Office users in order to submit grant application as well as payment request information. Please review the EdGrants: User Security Controls document to make informed decisions regarding assigning your district level users.
