For the operation of a pilot data-sharing program designed to provide school districts with funds to partner with local community-based organizations (CBOs) and to share identifiable student data to the extent allowed by law, as described in Fiscal Year 2018-2019 (FY19) state budget 7061-9611 line item language:
"…provided further, that not less than $100,000 shall be expended for the operation of a pilot data-sharing program designed to provide school districts with funds to partner with local community-based organizations and share identifiable student data to the extent allowed by law; provided further, that the pilot program shall be for not more than 3 years; provided further, that the afterschool and out-of-school time coordinating council shall recommend funds to 2 school districts for the pilot program; provided further, that the afterschool and out-of-school time coordinating council shall conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis on the pilot data sharing program; and provided further, that not later than December 31, 2019, the Massachusetts afterschool and out-of-school time coordinating council shall file a report on the effects of the pilot program on students participating in the programs partnered with the school districts with the house and senate committees on ways and means"

Funding is contingent upon availability. All dollar amounts listed are estimated/approximate and are subject to change. If more funding is to become available it will be distributed under the same guideline as listed in the initial RFP document.
Funds must be used in alignment with the respective line item language, and as described in a budget, budget narrative, and required program information that is submitted to the Department's Office of Student and Family Support.
Note: Indirect costs may not be charged to this grant

Pending budget appropriation, continuation of funding will be available for a total grant period of up to three years (FY18-FY20). Continuation funding is contingent upon implementation of grant-required activities and submission of required reporting and continuation applications.

Note: Applicants must submit a separate signature page (Part I) for both school year (upon approval – 6/30/2019) and summer (7/1/2019 – 8/31/2019) activities/expenditures.
A narrative evaluation on the funded activities and outcomes of the program is requested by the Department after the end of each of the program years by September 30th.

This includes a signed / scanned PDF of Part I / Coversheet with Executive Director's signature. The final school year budget the applicant is requesting will be entered directly into EdGrants as part of the application submission process (note: if applicable, summer budgets will need to be entered into EdGrants sometime in the spring).
