Fiscal Year 2025 Private School Calendar

To:Private School Directors, Chapter 766 Approved Schools
From:Aquarius Wise, Program Coordinator, School Finance and District Support
Date:July 12, 2024

Approved private special education schools, including programs open for 365 days and summer programs, are required to complete and submit a Private School Calendar each fiscal year. The calendar provides an accurate accounting of all operating days, and is necessary for public school districts to file claims and receive reimbursements through the Commonwealth's special education circuit breaker program.

The fiscal year 2025 Excel spreadsheet form can be downloaded here: FY2025 Private School Calendar

Please complete and return the file via email to circuitbreaker@mass.gov no later than Friday, August 30, 2024. Instructions for the completion of the form are within the calendar file. Should you encounter any difficulties, please reach out to Aquarius Wise for assistance.

For summer programs with operating dates in June 2024, please note that separate instructions are provided within the file. Approved tuition rates for fiscal year 2025 are for services delivered July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025 only. For summer programs including dates in June 2024, only fiscal year 2024 approved daily rates can be charged to school districts for those days.

If you have any questions, please contact Aquarius Wise at aquarius.wise@mass.gov or (781) 338-6526.

Thank you for your cooperation.
