As announced on January 15, 2022, the Commissioner extended the validity of the Emergency license until June 30, 2023, but some licenses (see below) were not automatically extended.
Emergency licenses that have been granted in the above six license areas are valid through June 30, 2022. ELAR will be updated allowing individuals with one of these licenses the ability to apply for a no-cost extension as of Friday, February 18th. You can learn more about the process of applying for an emergency extension and satisfying the requirements at: Emergency License Validity Extension for ESL & Special Education Licenses.
Please note, at this time the Department is not accepting new applications to obtain an Emergency license.
