The links below provide access to released test questions from the MCAS paper-based tests and released item information from the MCAS retests. Released item documents from the most recent year are shown. To view released test questions from a previous testing year, select the year, and then select the document for the specific administration you are interested in. 2024 Released Items

Note about the spring 2024 grades 3–8 tests:
The Department is not releasing items from the spring 2024 MCAS grades 3–8 tests. Released items from previous years’ computer-based tests are available on the MCAS Resource Center website.

Note about the high school tests:
The Department does not release questions from the high school ELA and Mathematics retests (administered in November and March) or the February high school Biology and Introductory Physics tests. For information on questions from these tests, please refer to the "Release of Retest/Test Information" PDFs, which contain item descriptions, reporting categories, standards assessed, and item types. All questions from the spring high school tests continue to be released.
