In general, the priority of the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (Department) is to fund an organizational environment that facilitates the operation of the MMEP in the most cost-effective manner designed to meet the needs of migrant children. More specifically, the sub-grantee must:
The grantee will be responsible for providing coverage of the full-time MMEP employees in the appropriate retirement system through the grantee's retirement system.
EDCO Collaborative is eligible to apply for this targeted one-year grant for FY20.

Subject to appropriation, meeting grant requirements, and submission of required documents, Fund Code (FC) 308 will be awarded for one year. Approximately $1,041,505 in funding is available for FY20.
Note Regarding Additional Funds: If more funding becomes available, including unclaimed/unspent funds from FY19, the grantee may receive these additional funds under this FY20 FC308 grant and may have to submit an additional or revised budget/budget narrative, and cover page, as well as information about proposed activities.
Funding is contingent upon availability. All dollar amounts listed are estimated/approximate and are subject to change. If more funding is to become available it will be distributed under the same guideline as listed in the initial RFP document.
Funds may be used for the management of the MMEP, to provide assistance and support for the Department in the provision of Title I Migrant Education projects at identified project sites. Unallowable costs: food for staff trainings.

Proposals must be received at the Department by 5:00 p.m. on the date due.
The sub-grantee must demonstrate the capacity to provide an annual evaluation that assesses the effectiveness of the migrant education program and projects, including components outlined in the evaluation toolkit. The sub-grantee must assure to operate the program in compliance with all state and federal regulations. The Department will perform onsite monitoring and evaluation activities at the sub-grantee sites as necessary to insure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
Submit all required grant materials through EdGrants no later than 5:00 pm on August 2, 2019.
In EdGrants, districts are required to create and name the project. Please use the following naming convention for your "Applicant Project Name" in EdGrants:

This includes signed / scanned PDFs of Part I / Signature Pages and the Grant Assurances page. The budget the grantee is requesting will be entered directly into EdGrants as part of the application submission process.
