[L.2.6] - Use words and phrases acquired through conversations, activities in the grade 2 curriculum, reading and being read to, and responding to texts, including using adjectives to describe.   • Adjective
    Word that describes somebody or something: for example, old, white, busy, careful, horrible. In English, adjectives come either before a noun or after a linking verb (e.g., be, seem, look). See Phrase for Adjectival phrase.

  • Phrase
    Broadly, any short series of related words; grammatically, a series of related words that lacks either a subject or a predicate or both: for example, by the door or opening the box. See Clause.
