The essay is undeveloped and only briefly identifies character traits. Any reference to how these traits made Newton a great scientist is minimal: "Isaac has many traits that make him a good scientist." Lack of evidence and explanation contributes to a poor expression of ideas, even though traits such as curiosity and intelligence would accurately describe Newton. Overall, the central idea is not developed, and organization is minimal.

Given its brief length, the essay demonstrates little control of conventions, and errors are evident in punctuation (particularly in regard to comma placement) and spelling. The writing's lack of complexity inhibits display of a consistent control of mechanics and sentence structures.
