Mathematics | Grade : 7
Domain - Statistics and Probability
Cluster - Investigate chance processes and develop, use, and evaluate probability models.
[7.SP.C.8] - Find probabilities of compound events using organized lists, tables, tree diagrams, and simulation.
- Probability
A number between 0 and 1 used to quantify likelihood for processes that have uncertain outcomes (such as tossing a coin, selecting a person at random from a group of people, tossing a ball at a target, testing for a medical condition).
[7.RP.A.3] -
Use proportional relationships to solve multi-step ratio, rate, and percent problems.
For example: simple interest, tax, price increases and discounts, gratuities and commissions, fees, percent increase and decrease, percent error.
[7.SP.C.7] -
Develop a probability model and use it to find probabilities of events. Compare probabilities from a model to observed frequencies; if the agreement is not good, explain possible sources of the discrepancy.
