Update on PARCC

By our June 23 meeting, the Board will have held four of five scheduled PARCC forums around the state. I am very pleased with the substantive feedback we received from a number of school administrators and teachers who have had first-hand experience with the PARCC tests, and their comments - both positive and negative - will help us in our evaluation. We have also heard concerns regarding the status of technology in many of our schools across the Commonwealth. Many districts are leveraging PARCC planning as an opportunity to expand access to digital tools to drive more instructional outcomes in every classroom.
