Enclosed is the memorandum I sent to the field on November 14, 2014, concerning Educator Licensure Policy Proposals. As it states, we have rescinded the draft options that link licensure to educator evaluation. The Department is continuing to seek input on current and potential requirements for licensure, and I look forward to discussing this with the Board in the months ahead. We will spend the first part of our special meeting on Monday evening, November 24, on this important topic. Deputy Commissioner Alan Ingram and Associate Commissioner Heather Peske will help guide the discussion.
