While Planning for Success incorporates legislative requirements, educator evaluation expectations, and effective planning practices, it is designed for simplicity and accessibility. The PfS framework establishes common language and shared expectations for district and school planning. The PfS process consists of three phases—Create Plan, Align Systems, and Implement—designed for flexibility in order to meet the needs of each district or school.

Planning for Success has been presented at multiple state conferences, including the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents and the joint Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents and Massachusetts Association of School Committees, since 2015. PfS was first shared with districts across the country at the American Association of School Administrators (AASA) 2018 National Conference on Education.
